The Social Work team in the School of Public Health, Midwifery and Social Work comprises of full time and part time academics with extensive experience in higher education and social work professional training. Our research and scholarship is often collaborative, working with university, local, national and European partners and involves a range of contemporary social work practice and education issues.
The School of Public Health, Midwifery and Social Work is offering the opportunity for a dynamic Social Work academic to contribute to the development and delivery of social work undergraduate, post graduate and post qualifying programmes as well as to actively engage in related scholarly and knowledge exchange activities.
Candidates will have experience in social work and be able to demonstrate commitment to the support and inspiration of students in their continued quest for knowledge and skills.
You will have a relevant first degree or equivalent and be registered or be eligible to be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. Ideally you will have a related Masters/PhD or equivalent and experience of working as a lecturer and contributing to courses/modules in the social work field in a Higher Education setting.
We are particularly interested to hear from applicants who may have experience in mental health or related services or who are keen to develop an interest in this area.
This post is fixed term for 2 years.
