An enthusiastic individual with experience in pre-hospital and emergency care is sought to join the Institute of Health and Society to play a key role in the delivery and on-going development of the successful Foundation Degree in Paramedic Science. The 2 year full time programme and 32 week technician to paramedic conversion course will provide the student with a qualification enabling them to apply for registration as a paramedic with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Responsibilities for the posts will include teaching and assessing students and acting as a personal academic tutor. In addition, the post holder will be expected to play an active role within the Institute, which may include involvement in the delivery of continuous professional development activity as well as developing the new BSc Hons paramedic degree. All staff are expected to engage in scholarly activity and higher study to enhance their own professional and academic development.
Shortlisted candidates invited to interview will be required to give a ten minute teaching session on: an introduction to evidence based practice. The Chair of this group will provide feedback on the teaching session to the interview panel.
