An opportunity has arisen for an experienced graduate midwife to join an active and motivated team, teaching and researching within a Department which delivers midwifery, nursing and other health related programmes.
You will be involved in the teaching and development of a range of undergraduate, postgraduate midwifery and health related programmes, including where appropriate, the supervision of doctoral students. You will also provide support to students and mentors within clinical practice areas.
Commitment to facilitating student centred learning and innovative approaches to midwifery education are essential. You should have knowledge of a broad range of contemporary midwifery practice and research, and a special interest in examination of the newborn and/or public health would be welcome.
Applicants should possess appropriate professional qualifications, relevant post registration experience as a midwife and a Masters or equivalent, and should either have or be prepared to work towards a doctoral qualification and a recordable teaching qualification with Higher Education Academy recognition.
