The School of Health at the University of Northampton is seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer. This is a full time substantive position. The successful candidate will be a motivated and enthusiastic midwife. The role focuses on collaborative working and supporting students on a variety of programmes, with the emphasis on facilitated learning using a variety of mediums.
The midwifery team is visionary, thrives on innovation and aspires to improve care for women whilst developing contemporary midwives of the future. We have a bespoke midwifery skills suite that enhances student learning and the opportunity to safely practice in a simulated environment.
We aim to achieve the UNICEF Baby Friendly Award during 2014 and the team were shortlisted for the RCM awards. The successful candidate will help to develop the School’s research and scholarly activity profile.
Applications are invited from graduate midwives with NMC registration, however, experienced clinical midwives will be considered. A Masters Degree and a recordable teaching qualification with the NMC are desirable.
