This is a 1.0 wte post (job share considered).
We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer, who is passionate about Children’s Nursing, to join the Department of Nursing (Children’s, Learning Disability, Mental Health) and Social Work that forms part of the School of Health and Social Work. We have a reputation for providing a high standard of education and research; we offer a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate degree schemes that are taught both on campus and online.
You will be self-motivated, innovative and able to work to deadlines. As the University works with a number of service providers across North London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and the South of England, the ability to travel unhindered between sites is essential. You must hold a current children’s nursing registration with the NMC, possess a Masters degree in a related subject (or be willing to undertake Masters studies) and have some experience of teaching. At Lecturer level, if an NMC recordable teaching qualification is not held, you must also be willing to undertake an appropriate programme of study. For appointment at Senior Lecturer level, doctoral studies or possession of a doctorate is an advantage, together with an NMC recorded teaching qualification.
Under current UKBA regulations, the University is unlikely to be able to get a work permit in respect of this post. Applications should therefore be from people who will have the right to work in the UK for at least one year from the date of appointment.
The University offers a range of benefits including a final salary pension scheme, professional development, family friendly policies, child care vouchers, discounted memberships at the Hertfordshire Sports Village and generous annual leave.
