We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious experienced graduate children’s nurse to join an active and motivated team, teaching and researching within a Department which delivers nursing, midwifery and other health related programmes.
You will be involved in the teaching and development of a range of undergraduate, postgraduate children’s nursing and health related programmes, including where appropriate, the supervision of doctoral students. You will also provide support to students and mentors within clinical practice areas.
Commitment to facilitating student centred learning and innovative approaches to children’s nursing are essential. You should have knowledge of a broad range of contemporary children’s nursing practice and research.
You should possess appropriate professional qualifications and have relevant post registration experience as a children’s nurse. A Masters degree (or equivalent) is essential and you should either have a PhD and a teaching qualification, or have the capacity to register for doctoral study within 24 months of appointment and obtain a recordable teaching qualification that meets Nursing and Midwifery Council requirements and membership of the Higher Education Academy within 12 months of appointment.
