Our Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education is the largest in the East of England with over 10,500 students studying across our campuses at Cambridge, Chelmsford and Peterborough. We are committed to excellence in Health and Social Care research and education and are seeking Lecturer/Senior Lecturers in Children’s nursing to join our established team delivering the Pre-registration Nursing Course and Continuing Professional Development portfolio. You will be dedicated to the educational development of professionals in the field of children’s nursing and will assist us in developing our research and scholarly activity profile. You will also contribute to our Faculty’s ambitious plans to grow its international portfolio, and will be expected to undertake research and scholarly activity in children’s nursing.

As a registered children’s nurse, you will have a higher degree and will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council. With excellent written and oral communication skills and a flexible approach, you will have proven professional children’s nursing experience, and experience of teaching successfully at Higher Education level. You will have a strong academic background to facilitate work on a range of innovative continuing professional development modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will be required to contribute to the departmental research strategy and expected outcomes of an academic including the commitment to register for a PhD/PrD within eighteen months of commencement.
