Joining the Nursing Academic Programme you will have up to date knowledge of contemporary nursing practice and have held a senior practitioner role. You will contribute to the teaching in our BSc (Hons) Nursing Child Field of Practice and post qualifying courses as well as take an active role in supporting students in both theory and practice. A fundamental part of the role is collaborating with staff in the school with interests in acute clinical nursing to develop research opportunities in practice. We have a philosophy of engaging in partnership work and are committed to policy developments which you will be expected to engage with.
You will have a Masters/PhD in a relevant subject or be committed to studying at a higher level. You will have recordable qualifications as a Lecturer/Practice Educator and current registration with the NMC as a registered child field nurse. A background in management of the acutely ill child is essential. If you have a PhD or Doctorate and can supervise at this level, you will have opportunities to develop as the university has an active programme for supporting early career researchers. Travel to other university sites will also be required.
In return, we offer a wide range of employee benefits including a generous pension scheme, childcare vouchers, travel loans and annual leave starting at 30 days a year pro rata in addition to bank holidays and time off over the Christmas period.
Job sharers welcome. Salary range £33,574 to £47,801 pro rata
