We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic academic colleague to join the staff team in the Department of Health and Well-being. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of mental health/well-being related topics across the Mental health and the Health and Social Care Foundation Degrees. The postholder will be required to teach theory and skills related to mental health conditions, supporting individuals and family and maintaining/improving well-being. In addition, the successful candidate will contribute to inter professional learning and teaching across the School of Allied Health and Community and be involved in the delivery of CPD activities. The successful candidate will support students and liaise with mentors in placement settings and support students via tutorials by being a Personal Academic Tutor (PAT).

The Department of Health and Well-being is one of four departments in the School. In addition to the Foundation Degrees, the School offers Foundations Degree in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, BSc Healthcare with a Foundation Year, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Paramedic and Social work and Master’s courses in Nutritional Therapy, Healthcare Management and Leadership, Social Work as well as Physician Associate. The School has an exceptional reputation for excellence and the successful candidates will further develop the quality of our provision through strong collaboration with our practice partners.
