This relates to all women, newborn infants and their families across the continuum from pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, labour and birth, postpartum and early weeks of newborn infants’ life (NMC 2019).

The Maternity Service User Group, supported by the Lead Midwife of Education (LME) play a key part in the student learning journey from taster days to assessment and evaluation promoting student empathy and understanding of the power of the women’s voice, which is a local driver.
