The University wishes to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (dependant on experience/qualifications) who is a Pharmacist by background to have an active involvement in the organisation and delivery in the first instance of our non-medical prescribing programme currently run at level 6 and level 7 and the MSc Advanced Clinical Practice. Reports formally to the Head of School within the School of Nursing, Midwifery, and Social Work, but works within the NMP teaching team and will be operationally supported by the NMP programme director.
The successful candidate will be an experienced clinician and an excellent teacher, and will either have FHEA status or be able gain this within 12 months of appointment. Experience of working as a prescribing practitioner is essential. A strong understanding of the current standards for non-medical prescribing for nurses and allied health professionals would be advantageous, whilst ability to teach pharmacology is essential.
