Salary: Lecturer £33,797 – £40,322 pa pro rata
Senior Lecturer £40,322 – £51,034 pa pro rata

This is an exciting opportunity to join the School as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing. You will join an innovative and friendly multi professional academic team which has a long-standing, successful track record in delivering mental health education at foundation, undergraduate and postgraduate level. We deliver undergraduate and MSc programmes in mental health nursing, as well as an MSc in CBT and an internationally renowned MSc in Mental Health Recovery and Social Inclusion. We contribute to a wide range of other health and social work programmes

We are keen to hear from enthusiastic, committed and student-focused individuals who are keen to play a key role in the provision of high-quality, recovery focused and evidence-informed mental health nursing education.

We are seeking to appoint to several roles to support the ongoing popularity of our mental health nursing provision and to ensure an excellent educational experience for all our students.

You will contribute to the development, delivery and evaluation of learning and teaching activity in the Mental Health academic group. This will consist primarily of Pre-registration Nursing at BSc & MSc level and the Nursing Associate Foundation Degree programme with the possibility of contributing to short courses and CPD programmes.

At Senior Lecturer level you will be expected to take on Module Leadership and contribute to curriculum development.

You will have experience of supporting student learning in either a practice or classroom setting, proven experience working as a registered mental health nurse and knowledge of current NMC requirements. You will be able to demonstrate evidence of teamworking and working autonomously as well as having excellent communication skills.

At Senior Lecturer level, you will have experience of facilitating student learning in a University setting. A record of publications is desirable at Senior Lecturer level as is fellowship of AdvanceHE.

You will hold a good Honours degree, or higher academic qualification, in a subject relevant to mental health and have current registration with the NMC. A recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to undertake a course to gain a teaching qualification is essential.

For Senior Lecturer roles, you will hold a Masters or higher academic qualification, in a subject relevant to mental health.
