This is an opportunity for a highly motivated academic committed to the field of adult acquired speech and language disorders with a focus on adult communication and eating, drinking & swallowing disorders. We welcome applications from colleagues with experience in, for example, aphasia, dysarthria, acquired apraxia, voice, stuttering, and dysphagia.

You will contribute to the highly rated pre-registration speech and language therapy provision, and more broadly across the School of Health Sciences as appropriate. The speech and language therapy programme offers a curriculum designed around problem based learning that aims to create active student learners. Our students value our research-led BSc programme and there is opportunity to directly translate research into practice though our CPD programme for healthcare professionals and through our developing Integrated Master’s in SLT.

There is strong established network of experts by experience (living with aphasia) who currently collaborate on research, teaching and student experience at UEA. The Aphasia Café that was instigated by local clinicians in Norwich is situated in the community. It is well attended and provides further links and networking opportunities.

You must be registered with HCPC as a Speech and Language Therapist. Your demonstrable post-qualification experience will be supported by your academic ambition and enthusiasm to further student learning and your own personal development.

This appointment will be subject to an enhanced criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
