Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy (ATR1422)£42,036 to £48,677 per annum or £50,132 to £58,089 per annum. An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated academic in the field of adult acquired speech and language therapy and with a particular focus on aphasia and dysphagia. You will collaborate on research activity complementary to research clusters in the School of Health Sciences. This comprises multi-disciplinary teams of researchers in Health Promotion, Rehabilitation, and Dementia and Complexity in Later Life, as well as others across the Faculty of Medicine and Health, and the Norwich Research Park. Placed within the Rehabilitation cluster are the acquired brain injury research group and the communication and cognition research group. There is strong established network of experts by experience (living with aphasia) who currently collaborate on research, teaching and student recruitment. This is linked to the longstanding aphasia café situated in the community which was instigated by academics at UEA. You will also contribute to the provision of our highly rated pre-registration course for speech and language therapy students and more broadly to a range of health sciences students as appropriate. The speech and language therapy programme offers a curriculum designed around problem based learning that aims to create active student learners. Our students value our research-led BSc programme and there is opportunity to directly translate research into practice though our CPD programme for healthcare professionals.You will be a registered as a HCPC Speech and Language Therapist and have demonstrable post-qualification experience individual with academic ambition and enthusiasm to develop your research, your students and yourself.
