An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and dynamic Physiotherapy team within the School of Health and Social Work. You will play an essential role both in the delivery and the continual development of our educational programmes, which are designed to enhance the profile of the physiotherapy profession in the UK.

You will be expected to undertake teaching and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate students in Physiotherapy modules at the University or at their placement or place of work in addition to playing a part in taking forward the research strategy within the Department and in developing the research environment alongside other physiotherapy staff. The Senior Lecturer post will also involve undertaking a leading role in learning through the development of course materials, including online content, as well as undertaking necessary administrative, tutorial and laboratory activities. Possible supervision of postgraduate research projects (e.g. MSc Physiotherapy) will also be a part of the Senior Lecturer role.

We are looking for a proactive and experienced HCPC registered physiotherapist, with recent clinical and/or educational experience in the UK with a focus on cardiorespiratory practice. This post would suit a physiotherapy educator with cardiorespiratory experience or applicants with cardiorespiratory experience in a range of clinical settings. For either, experience of research methods would be desirable.

Applicants will be required to be registered as a Physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). For an informal discussion, please contact Karen Atkinson on 01707 286108 k.a.atkinson@herts.ac.uk or Karen Beeton on 01707 284114 k.s.beeton@herts.ac.uk
