About us: The MSc Physician Associate (PA) studies programme sits within the School of Health and Social Wellbeing at UWE Bristol. Our PA programme has been running since 2016 and is continuing to go from strength to strength. The core programme team is made up of dynamic individuals from a variety of backgrounds such as doctors, AHPs, nurses and UK trained PAs. Our UWE PA alumni have a strong success rate at the PA national exam and additionally a strong employment rate both within the region and in the wider UK. The School has several pre-registration, undergraduate health and social care programmes including Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedic Science, Physiotherapy, Diagnostic Radiography, Therapeutic Radiography, Optometry and Occupational Therapy, as well as numerous post-graduate degrees and leading research centres. We are a dynamic and innovative School with aspirations to grow our portfolio and student base, including Physician Associates, which the NHS sees as an important and expanding part of its workforce.

About you: We are looking to recruit an experienced or aspiring lecturer to complement our existing programme team in the teaching and support of students undertaking the MSc Physician Associate Studies. You will be a suitably experienced healthcare professional, holding current registration with the appropriate professional body e.g. PAMVR, GMC, HCPC, NMC and with substantial experience. You will have an interest in education and experience of teaching, assessment and feedback, either within the clinical or more formalised settings. You will have experience of working with PA students and/or a clear understanding of PA education. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to collaborative team working, as well as demonstrating that you have successfully studied at postgraduate level.
