We would like you to join our Paramedic team where you will contribute to the teaching and learning in our BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science course.

The paramedic programme has been producing the next generation of paramedics for a decade now and is both well established and highly regarded within the School of Health Sciences. The School provides an extensive range of courses, from pre- registration to doctoral level, as well as a stimulating environment for staff and students to work. The University of Brighton ranks 30th in the 2019 Guardian League table for health professions, has a silver TEF award and a strong research record, factors which contribute to our reputation as a leading modern university.

You will work with internal colleagues and join external networks to participate in information exchange, and be expected to write up research work for publication. A Senior Lecturer should disseminate research findings and outputs at conferences and similar events and identify and seek sources of external funding for their own scholarly activity

There are also opportunities to engage in curriculum development at both pre- and post-registration levels, however, the primary focus of this role will be supporting BSc students in both theory and practice.

In order to be successful in this role, you will have:

a current registration as a paramedic with the Health & Care Professions Council
an up to date knowledge of contemporary paramedic practice
a commitment to continuous professional development with regard to disciplinary/professional and pedagogic expertise
a BSc and postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject (or be committed to studying at a higher level)
