An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and motivated individual to contribute to the delivery of pre and post registration Paramedic Practice education within the School of Health Sciences.
This post would be ideal for an experienced qualified Paramedic or Educator working within Pre-hospital Care settings; who possesses a clear understanding of pre and post-qualifying education within the context of the UK. The applicant must be Health Care Professions Council registered and will ideally be educated to post-graduate level in Paramedic Practice or a health related subject.
Utilising previous teaching experience (higher education preferred) and experience of a variety of teaching approaches, the successful applicant must be committed to student success and experience, and be able to show that they can effectively lead and support learning and teaching in both the classroom and practice setting. Strong planning and organisational skills and an ability to work collaboratively is essential.
The successful applicant will need to be able to work as a team member, as well as be self-reliant, and be able to demonstrate key leadership abilities in either clinical practice or education. a teaching qualification or willingness to undertake on appointment is required.
The appointed Lecturer / Senior Lecturer will be allocated a named preceptor whilst working at the University.
