The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work wishes to appoint an enthusiastic and innovative individual to our dynamic and highly respected team to contribute to the delivery of nursing undergraduate / postgraduate programmes. We are particularly seeking candidates with a background in infection prevention and control and with broad experience in nursing education. You will be responsible for teaching, examining and assessing designated subjects and modules within the School and ensure that all areas for which you have responsibility maintain professional, educational and clinical credibility. If appointed as a Lecturer (Grade 7) or Senior Lecturer, you will additionally undertake research and/or scholarship activities contributing to the School’s research strategy.
This is an exciting time to join the School as we continue to implement our strategies in research, teaching and social responsibility. This strategy, as well as continuing to build on our exceptional successes and achievements, will continue to focus on further enhancing and supporting growth in our research activity and continuing to deliver outstanding programmes of education. We want to attract and retain the best staff and provide opportunities for them to develop. The School’s academic staff cover a broad range of disciplines – this ensures that staff work in a vibrant multidisciplinary environment.
If you currently work in a clinical setting and wish to continue to do so on a part-time basis, the School is open to negotiating flexible arrangements. Part-time and flexible working options will also be considered.
