In this key role you will strive to enhance nursing and healthcare practice and the reputation of our School of Nursing in the area of Learning Disability nursing and healthcare across all domains of practice. Articulate and well respected, you will teach on pre-registration nursing programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, taking the lead on modules where appropriate and in workforce development. In particular, you will have the ability to inspire our students and will have a keen interest in developing education. Alongside being involved in the pastoral care of students, you will be encouraged and supported to further your interests in research, enterprise or professional practice.

The Person
You will ideally be a nurse on the NMC register, educated to at least degree level, with experience of working with service users who have a learning disability. Equivalent professional qualifications considered. You are resourceful, highly motivated, creative and ambitious. You are interested in learning and teaching and can share your skills and expertise with the nursing and healthcare workforce of the future. A teaching qualification is desirable but non-essential. The Faculty supports new members of staff to gain appropriate qualifications and are keen to support ongoing academic and professional development.

Further information
This is a full time, permanent role with a starting salary of £39,343 per annum or £43,955 per annum depending on experience. Interviews will be held on Thursday 1 April 2021.
