With its vision to be the provider of choice of first class contemporary education, informed by research and innovation, the School of Nursing & Midwifery is establishing a unique innovative engagement across clinical partners through the embedding of research focussed academic units in local NHS Trusts to drive forward co-produced clinical research, promote inter-professional working, embed evidence based learning in practice and offer a framework for clinical academic careers.

To be part of this vision, the School is looking for an exceptional individual with experience in Advanced Practice to provide academic leadership. We are expanding our provision and are committed to providing students with innovative and high quality undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. You will be an experienced educationalist able to provide academic leadership, across teaching, enterprise and research. We work closely with our placement providers and you will have demonstrable experience in building, developing and maintaining networks with our various stakeholders and partners.

We encourage applications from highly motivated individuals, who hold current registration as an Adult Nurse on Sub Part 1 of the Nursing and Midwifery Council register, have a Higher Degree in health or a related subject and hold an NMC and HE recognised teaching qualification. You will have experience as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Prescriber. Leading on the advanced practice agenda for the school ensuring its delivery of advanced practice is evidenced based and meets the future workforce demand.

This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis. The post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check and regular travel will be required.
