In this context, the School of Nursing and Midwifery is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic or practitioner who will join a highly professional and motivated team to teach across our nursing programmes.
The post holder will be committed to promoting academic enquiry, helping develop critical thinking in students by supporting safe, effective and evidence-based practice. The focus of this post is on the delivery of our clinical skills, simulation and practice agenda. By providing expert knowledge, you will lead agreed modules, assess students and supervise research projects. Participating in professional scholarship and re-validation will also be essential. The candidate should be able to draw upon his or her own subject knowledge to design teaching sessions that maximise the integration of theory to practice.
The College has a state of the art Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre reflecting the essential regulatory requirement that simulated clinical education has in the development of competent graduates. The centre boasts ten simulation suites with a range of hospital, home and therapy rooms. The suites are equipped with a range of high fidelity equipment and is supported by a team of qualified clinical skills technicians.
