At UEL, we pride ourselves on the real-world relevance of our courses and research and the impact we are making in our east London community and the wider world. We are an open and inclusive university that is focused on transforming the lives of our students. For the third successive year, we have risen in the Times Higher National Student Survey (NSS), and this year we achieved 85% for overall satisfaction – the highest score UEL has ever recorded. This has elevated us twenty places in the UK league table and we now sit in the top fifty of the table for the first time.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated individual to be involved in the organisation, teaching delivery and leadership of new pre-registration nursing programmes at the University of East London.

The first cohort of our new BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing started in January this year in collaboration with NHS partners in East London. We are now developing further links and expanding our initial provision following highly successful local student recruitment.

We invite enthusiastic candidates who are registered nurses and hold relevant undergraduate, higher degree and teaching qualifications/ HEA fellowship. We are particularly interested to hear from candidates with clinical/ teaching experience related to medicines management and prescribing or candidates with community nursing experience.

You must have a passion for student focussed teaching, and a clear understanding and respect for the unique needs of widening participation cohorts of students. The successful applicant will have excellent knowledge of the professional and academic requirements of higher education programmes and will contribute to the academic and research development of nursing in the university. The school is based at the Stratford Campus. To obtain further details about this vacancy visit our website at http://jobs.uel.ac.uk/(reference 042A2018X)
