An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer with expertise in the field of Sport Development to join the School of Health and Life Sciences at the University of the West of Scotland.
You will contribute to the delivery of the suite of sport and exercise programmes and will play a role in developing research and scholarly activity within the Division of Sport and Exercise. You should have prior experience of working in a Higher Education environment and have an innovative and flexible approach to learning and assessment. Applications are particularly welcome from individuals with expertise in outdoor sport, sport management, or digital sport.

You will join a progressive group of staff within the Division of Sport and Exercise who deliver four undergraduate and one postgraduate programme(s) at our Ayr and Lanarkshire campuses. The recently opened Lanarkshire campus includes a wide range of technology-enabled teaching spaces and state of the art sport and exercise laboratories. Students on the Lanarkshire programmes also undertake a number of practical classes in the closely located Emirates Arena. Academic staff within the Division contribute to research in a number of areas, including: coach development and education, digital health, healthy ageing, nutrition, paediatric physical activity, sport psychology, and team sport performance.

The Division of Sport and Exercise sits within the School of Health and Life Sciences which collectively delivers a diverse range of programmes at our Lanarkshire, Paisley, Ayr and London campuses to a combined total of circa 6000 students.
