The School of Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work and Social Sciences, (to become the School of Health & Society from 01.09.17) is a large provider of professional training for nurses, midwives and social workers in the UK.
The Directorate of Society is one of the 2 Directorates which will form the School of Health & Society. The School has a strong and rapidly growing research record and is extremely supportive of research, with mechanisms in place to support and enable staff to be research active. It comprises some 200 academic staff and around 6.000 students undertaking a range of pre-registration nursing, midwifery, social work training and social sciences programmes and post-qualification / post-graduate programmes.
The post-holder will contribute to the academic activity of the School and the Directorate by undertaking undergraduate and post-graduate teaching, research and innovation activities.
