The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedic Practice is offering an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced and qualified professional to join our team of lecturers providing high quality education to both pre–registration students and post–registration health care professionals. This opportunity is offered as a one year fixed term appointment or as a secondment.
As a Lecturer in School Nursing/Health visiting you will join an experienced and motivated team of academics, providing support for teaching and learning across the School’s portfolio with focus on our post–registration School Nursing/Health Visiting (SCPHN) routes within the MSc Advancing Practice programme. You will be a committed and motivated professional who will therefore contribute effectively to the planning, delivery and evaluation of learning materials/modules across our programmes.
With knowledge, experience and skills as well as a degree in a relevant subject, you will also be expected to contribute to the wider School portfolio which includes undergraduate and postgraduate Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedic education. As well as this, our Lecturers develop and use a range of skills to support students as a personal tutor as well as engaging in partnership with other academics, practice provider partners and people and communities

This is a full-time position but we will consider different and flexible contract types, such as part-time working. Whilst we are focussed on educating the next generation of Nurses, Midwives and Paramedics, we also appreciate the need to retain skills in the health profession, so we may consider part and full time secondments from your current role.
Grade 7 Salary Scale: £34,804 – 40,322
Grade 8 Salary Scale: £41,526 – 49,553
Salary on appointment will be dependent upon experience.
Candidates with limited or no prior experience as an academic will be placed on the first point of the Grade 7 scale. Consideration will be given to offering an Academic Attraction Payment (adjusted annually) for those candidates who have specific industry knowledge, skills or, expertise which are required for the position.
