Challenging, interesting and constantly changing, the University of Derby is an extraordinary place to learn and an incredibly rewarding place to work.
The post holder will be innovative and creative in their role and will contribute to enhancing the quality of healthcare education, as well as taking forward the research and scholarship agenda. It is extremely important that our successful candidate not only understands the student experience, but that they genuinely enjoy making a positive impact for them both in and out of classes.
The roles will predominately be supporting the foundation degree / higher apprenticeship for support staff, but will also contribute to programme delivery across the suite of programmes offered by the department. The development of the proposed nursing associate role is likely to be part of this higher apprenticeship. We are also developing new routes to registration and offer curriculum development experience and programme leadership opportunities for interested candidates.
The post holders will have a strong clinical and educational background and will focus on delivering an excellent student experience. You should be registered with the NMC or the HCPC. The post is based at our Kedleston road campus but occasional travel to our Chesterfield campus may be required.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expect everyone who works for us to also share this commitment and to treat people with courtesy and respect.
