An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and motivated individual to contribute to the delivery of all aspects pre and post registration Paramedic Practice education within the School of Health Sciences, enhancing the student experience on paramedic programmes.
This post would be ideal for an experienced qualified Paramedic or educator working within pre hospital care settings; who possess a clear understanding of pre and post-qualifying education within the context of the UK.
The applicant must be a practicing paramedic with current HCPC registration, hold a bachelors honours degree in Paramedic Practice, nursing or a health related subject and a teaching qualification (or willingness to undertake upon appointment).
Utilising previous teaching experience (higher education preferred) and experience of a variety of teaching approaches, the successful applicant must be committed to student success and experience, and be able to show that they can effectively lead and support learning and teaching in both the classroom and practice setting. Good presentation skills, strong planning and organisational skills and an ability to work collaboratively are essential requirements for this post.
The appointed lecturer will be allocated a named preceptor whilst working at the University.
