The University of Hull has been praised for excellent student outcomes by a Government panel evaluating excellence in teaching in UK Universities. The University was awarded Silver in the Teaching Excellence Framework and we aim to build on this success and continue to strive for excellence in our teaching and student experience. Within the Faculty of Health Sciences we have developed the structure and content of our under graduate curricula to ensure that our students can meet the complex and evolving challenges that they face in practice. To support the current and future operating department provision, we are seeking an experienced, motivated and talented HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner to join the programme team. We would consider a part time contract or a lecturer practitioner opportunity. This is a fixed term contract for one year.

The post holder will join a team of academic staff involved in the delivery of our under-graduate provision offered within the Faculty. The role requires a contribution to the planning, development, delivery, quality assurance and enhancement of our BSc (hons) Operating Department Practice. The role also requires engagement in scholarly activity related to clinical practice, policy or education. Teaching and supervision on all components of our continuing professional development programmes will be required.
