The key function of this post is to provide vital educational input into the School’s pre and post registration nursing and midwifery programmes. Neonatal nursing is a specialist paediatric nursing stream. The successful applicant will be NMC registered with a children’s nursing qualification and will have completed the necessary clinical practice and neonatal nursing specific CPD requirements to have developed in a Neonatal Nursing role. The post holder will be required to lead on and contribute to neonatal teaching and assessment across a range of pre and post registration nursing and midwifery programmes; act as link lecturer to all three neonatal units in partner Trusts, and provide vital expertise to support the development of masters level provision for neonatal nurse practitioners and enhanced skills workshops for neonatal nurses. The post holder will also be expected to link to the neonatal clinical network and to develop research networks in the East of England.
