In the School of Health & Society we are looking for an engaging, colleague to join our creative, committed and passionate academics in the Mental Health Nursing Team. This opportunity directly relates to the university’s response to external drivers that have resulted in an increase in our student numbers. In a challenging external climate our growth is testament to the hard work and dedication of our team and has contributed to a rise of 22 places in The Guardian University Guide 2020 for Nursing and Midwifery.

Using a values-based approach to education we aim to support excellence in Mental Health Nurses as they respond to the challenges of contemporary practice across their career trajectory. If you can demonstrate your commitment to such an approach and have a passion for supporting your own and others learning and development as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, we would welcome the chance to talk to you.

We are passionate academics who have worked and continue to work collaboratively with people whose mental and physical health has required the thoughtful, skilled care of another. We endeavour to bring these transferable skills into our team through a relational approach to working together and in supporting our students.

We are one of the largest educators of nurses, midwives and allied health professionals in the North West. We are proud of our proven track record of collaborating with our health and social care partners to enable highly skilled practitioners who can respond to the challenges of contemporary practice.

To be considered for this post you must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and have experience in teaching, practice development and/or research in Mental Health Nursing.
