Working in the Department of Nursing and Midwifery and linking into the Centre for Health and Clinical Research within the Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences, this fast-track post will launch an outstanding individual’s clinical research and teaching career in emergency care in adults or children, with an equal split between research and teaching in the first instance.

This academic appointment as a Lecturer is permanent and for the first three years you will divide your time 50:50 with half of your time completing a part-time PhD in emergency care research aligned to an identified area that supports the excellence of this theme and with an expectation that you will also help support research projects outside of your doctorate. The other half of your time will be spent teaching on our undergraduate, postgraduate and workforce development programmes in nursing, as appropriate. This will enable you to establish a strong, balanced profile in the longer term, combining teaching and research. You will be provided with appropriate training, support and mentoring.
