In support of our expanding portfolio of teaching and research activity the Faculty of Health and Social Care is looking to make 5 new academic appointments. Situated in one of three departments the new posts will strengthen our delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate learning and teaching and make a substantial contribution to our existing strong track record in health care research. With over 100 academic staff, including a Professoriate of five Chairs, over 2000 undergraduate and almost 400 post graduate students the Faculty is a major provider of nursing, midwifery and allied health care professional education. The new posts will also help us build on the strong return we made to the 2014 REF with the post-holders joining one of three research groups in the Faculty.
The University of Hull is committed to the development of health and social care within a multi-professional context. New post holders will join us as work commences on a £24 Million ‘Health Hub’ incorporating the new Institute for Clinical and Applied Health Research and a state of the art clinical skills facility. With a clear commitment to staff development the Faculty of Health and Social Care at the University of Hull has ambitious plans for the future – these new posts are an exciting aspect of these plans.
