We are looking to appoint an NMC registered nurse with a background in primary care, public health or health and social care. You will be part of teams delivering learning and teaching activities at pre-registration, to students based at our Dundee City and Fife campuses, and at post-qualifying levels, to students based locally, elsewhere in the UK and overseas. Innovative and creative thinking are important to help achieve our aim of producing graduates who are ready to respond with compassion and commitment to the current and future challenges in healthcare.

In particular, we want to expand our expertise to meet the educational needs of the integration of health and social care. It will be advantageous for you to have current and relevant knowledge and experience in areas of public health and/or health and social care. We are also interested in candidates who can offer experience in leadership, quality improvement or advanced practice (including non-medical prescribing), to contribute to these expanding areas in our postgraduate programmes.

We are seeking staff who will be able to teach across the broad range of areas identified in the proposed NMC education standards, for our programme commencing in 2019. You will have the opportunity to be involved in curriculum development work, for the new pre-registration programme and also for the MSc programmes, which are currently being reviewed. We are also keen to employ individuals who are interested in teaching international students to support our growing portfolio of international teaching. Experience in this area, as well as knowledge of global health issues in your area of expertise, will be advantageous and you may also be required to undertake teaching visits overseas.
