The College is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Nursing (Adult & Community) within the Department of Nursing on a Teaching and Academic Management career pathway.
Although based in the Department of Nursing, the successful candidate will make a substantive contribution to the teaching of adult and community nursing within the College, as well as a contribution to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision across the College. In addition to sharing organisational and academic administrative responsibilities, the appointee will also be expected to work closely with clinical colleagues in Local Health Boards to support students during clinical learning experiences
Applicants must possess a first degree in Nursing, hold current registration as a practising nurse with the NMC, as well as being registered on Part 3 of the register. Experience of teaching students (in an education and/or practice environment) is essential as is excellent knowledge and experience and a clear understanding of issues relating to adult and community nursing. Possession of a Masters degree and a relevant teaching qualification is desirable as is recognised Health Visitor qualification.
