This is an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Nursing and Midwifery with one of the largest providers of pre-registration education in the UK. You will be joining our growing midwifery provision and will be contributing to training the next generation of health care professionals.

As a lecturer you will be expected to provide support to students in academic and placement environments, establish your clinical link/academic advisor role and provide pastoral support for our students. Our links with NHS services require you to deliver the programme and support students across a wide geographical area. The ability to inspire, motivate and connect with a range of stakeholders e.g. students, maternity service users and external clients from a range of different backgrounds is therefore essential.

You must possess well developed current knowledge and understanding of critical, practical and theoretical issues relevant to Midwifery, be proficient in the delivery of clinical skills training, and be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Midwife. You should also possess, or have a commitment to work towards a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education,

On appointment you will help the team to develop and engage with new innovative learning and teaching methods and participate in midwifery and maternity related research.
