An exciting opportunity has arisen to join part of an established forward thinking team of academics, committed to delivering the highest quality teaching and support to our students, in providing midwifery education at Sheffield Hallam University. As one of the largest providers of nursing education in the UK, you will be working with a diverse, vibrant community of academics, practitioners and researchers.
With experience of teaching, training or supervising undergraduate/postgraduate midwifery, or equivalent health care professionals, in a clinical practice or academic environment, you should also possess, or have a commitment to achieve, a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education, leading to NMC practice educator registration.
You must be highly motivated, well organised with good communication and IT skills. You will be expected to provide support to students in academic and placement environments, establish your clinical link/academic advisor role and provide pastoral support for our students. Our links with NHS services require you to deliver the programme and support students across a wide geographical area. The ability to inspire, motivate and connect with a range of partners including students and external clients from a range of different backgrounds is therefore essential.
On appointment you will help the team to develop and engage with new innovative learning and teaching methods and participate in midwifery and maternity related research.
If you are offered this post you will be subject to an enhanced with barred lists check by the Disclosure and Barring Service. For non-EU applicants, we are unlikely to be able to offer a certificate of sponsorship for this job (unless you are switching from a UK student visa).
