An opportunity has arisen within the School of Nursing for a mental health nurse to join our highly committed Mental Health team as full time Lecturer. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and visionary, keen to shape mental health education and research and influence the lives of people with mental health problems.

Applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, be educated to at least degree level and hold a teaching qualification (or willingness to undertake on appointment). A masters degree and a post graduate teaching qualification is desirable.

Extensive, contemporary practice experience is essential, and you’ll have a keen interest in developments in the field. You’ll be committed to the success of your students and be able to show that you can effectively support learning and teaching in the classroom and in practice areas.
Experience in higher education and/or the teaching and assessing of student nurses in practice is essential.

The successful applicant will assist in the development and delivery of the mental health curricula including the pre-registration programme, post graduate studies and research. There will be an expectation that the successful candidate will teach across a range of courses and will be required to act as course and/or module leader.
