Bangor University School of Healthcare Sciences is offering an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Welsh-speaking lecturer to join our team. As lead provider for Welsh-medium education in healthcare, we are seeking an exceptional candidate who is committed to take forward our aspirations for advancing bilingualism in healthcare in line with government strategy and to play a key role in delivering our School strategy for excellence in bilingual teaching and learning.
We can offer a stimulating bilingual environment and support to enable you to fulfil your professional ambitions. This includes contributing to bilingual teaching and learning across the School’s portfolio and leading such innovations in clinical practice. Depending on prior qualifications and experience, the post offers an opportunity to register for a MSc or Professional Doctorate programme, thus enabling the candidate to establish expertise in the field. Candidates should have current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and the ability to communicate in Welsh is essential for the post. We welcome those with less experience who may benefit from the ‘First into Teaching’ programme of development, which is on offer.
The School’s mission is to mobilise its expertise and experience to generate new solutions to health challenges. We do this by leading health care research, scholarship, teaching and learning that is of the highest possible standard, quality and value to service users, practitioners and stakeholders. We aim to be an international example of best practice in partnership-working with students, professionals, health and social care services, and policy makers. We pay attention to demonstrating the links between our research and teaching activities, and in providing our students with excellent learning experiences that equip them with the ability to succeed in their professional careers.
