Bangor University School of Healthcare Sciences is offering exciting opportunity for aspiring and experienced Lecturer to join our team in North Wales based at our Wrexham campus. The children’s team within the School offers an ambitious, friendly and supportive environment for individuals to develop professionally. The team enjoys excellent links with health service colleagues from local and regional NHS organisations that offer services to children. The team are fully embedded in decision-making structures within the School, and work closely with colleagues from other academic teams to support inter-professional learning where appropriate.
The post is available at Grades 7 or 8, which provides an opportunity for both experienced candidates, and those with less experience who may benefit from a ‘First into Teaching’ programme of development. The post is available on either of our Scholarship and Research career tracks. All appointees will have opportunities to contribute to teaching and learning across the School’s portfolio, including at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Those appointed on the Teaching and Scholarship track will be supported to lead innovation in teaching and learning, including in clinical practice. Those appointed to the Teaching and Research track will be mentored to develop their research potential and impact. All candidates should have current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Although Welsh is not essential for this post, the School would particularly encourage applications from Welsh speakers.
Successful candidates will be expected to commence in October 2016, or as soon as possible thereafter. Salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
