The School of Healthcare Sciences is pleased to offer a full-time Lecturer to contribute to our portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. We can offer an exciting opportunity for the right candidates to consolidate their skills, or explore an ambition to expand careers into the university setting.
The person appointed will be part of an academic team that embraces innovation, is person-centred, aspires to be forward thinking in their approach to healthcare education and who has excellent scores from the National Student Survey. Bangor University is currently in the top 10 of UK universities for student experience. Our courses aim to be student centred and provide experience in a range of settings and the team place a strong emphasis on partnership working with the Health Board. Our research excellence was demonstrated in REF 2014 in which our health submission was ranked 20th out of 94, with our outputs being ranked 3rd for quality.
The successful applicant will contribute to teaching and learning within the School as part of a team responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of educational activities at both undergraduate and post graduate level.
The Applicant must:
- Have experience of education and/or practice in a healthcare environment
- Be a person centred educator and colleague
- Have relevant Masters Degree qualification
- Demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional development
Although Welsh is not essential for this post, the School would particular encourage applications from Welsh speakers. The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible and the post is available for a fixed-term period of 12 months.
