This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated team and take a role in the delivery of Foundation Degree pathways and contribute to other programmes within the Faculty. The role will involve delivery of modules, student academic support and acting as personal tutor for students on academic programmes and modules. Involvement in academic enterprise and research activity will be expected, encouraged and supported.
This is an ideal opportunity to gain a first post as a Lecturer within higher education, or to further develop an academic career. The post-holder will be from an adult nursing background, with a broad base of experience in the health and social care sector. The post is based at Lancaster, but there will be a requirement to teach at other sites in the North-West, and across campus sites. Working with employers in the support of students in workplace settings will also be an important part of the role. The University was shortlisted for the Times Higher Education Outstanding Employer Engagement Award in 2012 and this is reflected in the fact that close collaborative working with a number of organisations is a key requirement of the role.
The post-holder will demonstrate enthusiasm for work-based learning and student engagement, and have a willingness to utilise a range of e-learning technologies and other strategies in order effect the provision of high quality learning opportunities and the best possible student experience.
Informal enquiries should be directed to Nesta Hartley Principal Lecturer: Lifelong and Interprofessional Learning via email: email@example.com or tel: 01228 616387.
The closing date for this post is Midnight on Wednesday 20 August 2014.
It is anticipated that interviews for this post will take place on Monday 08 September 2014 in Lancaster.
