The Centre for Food Policy is a leading interdisciplinary centre dedicated to improving food policy worldwide. It has been at the cutting-edge of education, research and impact in food policy for over 20 years. The vision of the Centre is that food policy is addressing major food systems challenges effectively and equitably to improve the wellbeing of people and planet. The Centre is guided by four strategic priorities: to provide the evidence needed to support the development, design and delivery of more integrated and inclusive policy; to translate scholarship into practice by actively seeking to have impact on policy; to produce a larger and stronger generation of leaders, decision-makers and influencers in food policy equipped with the skill of food systems thinking for the real world; and to be a vibrant, energetic and stimulating place to learn and work where all contributions are valued. The Centre is developing new impact-focused research programmes, diversifying its educational offer and expanding student recruitment.

The School is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic to a Lectureship or Senior Lectureship to conduct research with impact and deliver education of the highest quality. The Lecturer or Senior Lecturer will play a key role in supporting the Centre in advancing its mission. A record of producing world-leading or internationally excellent research is essential. Appointment to a Senior Lectureship will require additional academic experience, including the delivery of excellent education.
