The School of Health and Life Sciences, as the largest provider of nursing & midwifery education in Scotland, is seeking to appoint one Lecturer to join our existing team of academic staff within the Adult Nursing and Healthcare division. The successful applicant will join the academic community within the University of the West of Scotland, ranked by Times Higher Education (2018 World University Rankings) in the top 500 of universities worldwide, and with an overall student satisfaction rate of 84.9% in the 2018 National Student Survey.
As an experienced health professional, you will hold a professional NMC adult nursing registration, as well as a PhD in a health related area (or be working towards this). A postgraduate qualification in education/teaching and learning, and HEA fellowship are desirable.
As a Lecturer, you will make a significant contribution to the student experience through delivery of teaching across a number of modules and programmes within the Adult Nursing and Healthcare division on a designated Scottish Campus. You will also contribute to the local, national and international research and knowledge exchange activity of the subject area.
As an experienced practitioner joining this dynamic academic team, you will also work closely with our clinical partners to support undergraduate and postgraduate students within a range of student learning environments.
