An opportunity has arisen within the School of Nursing for a registered nurse (Adult) to join our highly committed pre-registration adult nursing team as a full time Lecturer.
Nursing and Trainee Nursing Associate programmes are delivered in a number of sites, including Preston, Burnley and Westlakes. This post will be based at the Westlakes campus.

There will be an expectation that the successful candidate will teach across a range of courses and will be required to act as module leader. The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, visionary, and keen to shape nurse education.

Applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and be educated to at least degree level. A master’s degree and a postgraduate teaching qualification is desirable. Utilising planning and organisational skills, communication and interpersonal skills the successful applicant will be able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Extensive, contemporary practice experience is essential supported by teaching experience and you will have a keen interest in developments in the field. Experience of mentoring, assessing and supervising student nurses in practice is required. You’ll be committed to the success of your pre-registration students and be able to show that you can effectively support learning and teaching in the classroom and in practice areas.
