Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)
Salary: £37,175 – £43,096 per annum (UHI grade 7)
Location: Centre for Health Science, Inverness IV2 3JH

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Department of Nursing and Midwifery for two people to join our well-established team as full-time Lecturers in Adult Nursing.

Applicants must be registered as First Level Nurses with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, be educated to Master’s level (or equivalent) in a Health-related subject and have a broad academic remit including teaching, supporting students and scholarly activities across the undergraduate and postgraduate curricula.

It is essential that you hold professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and have evidence of on-going professional development. Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, visionary and keen to shape the portfolio of activity within the department which includes both education and research. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with an ability to communicate clearly and confidently your complex, conceptual ideas to others using a range of media.

This is an academic post within the Department of Nursing and Midwifery, which is part of a wider, established, multi-disciplinary academic team in our School of Health. As part of this team who are committed to the enhancement of nursing and midwifery education across the Highland and Islands, and further afield, there will be the opportunity to contribute to the department’s research activity.
