The Faculty of Health, Education and Life Sciences are looking for a highly motivated person for the position of Lecturer for the Foundation Degree in Health & Social Care, Surgical Care Pathway. The Faculty has very well established and recognised Foundation Degree suite of programmes with the Skills for Health Quality Award. We are therefore looking for an individual with an appropriate practice background in perioperative practice to join our team at what is an exciting time in this area of provision.

You will work closely with practice and university colleagues to support the Surgical Pathway trainees and the clinical learning facilitators in practice. You will also be expected to contribute to our research and scholarly activities. Previous experience of supporting students in the clinical setting is essential as you will be a personal tutor for this pathway.
You will support experienced members of the team with the organisation and delivery of the range of modules on the surgical care pathway and contribute to core modules on the Foundation Degree programme.

This position requires applicants to be a Registered Nurse (NMC Part1), or registered Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC) and possess a degree in a subject relevant ideally together with either a relevant higher degree or appropriate professional qualifications at post graduate level. Previous teaching in a Higher Education setting would be desirable.
