The Norwich Electronic Assistive Technology (NEAT) Home, located at the University of East Anglia, is a new experiential learning facility intended to support the effective implementation of assistive technology (AT) and innovations in domiciliary and residential care.
We are seeking a HCPC or NMC registered healthcare professional to provide practitioner and academic leadership for NEAT.
The successful candidate is likely to have contemporary experience as an occupational therapist, physiotherapist, nurse or similar related field. They must have relevant experience and expertise in the AT and/or domiciliary/residential care sectors. Experience of teaching or training healthcare professionals is desirable.
The post-holder will work to form networks of stakeholders and take a market-led approach to developing and delivering relevant professional education and CPD for healthcare professionals. Experience of teaching or training healthcare professionals is desirable.
The post-holder will act as a consultant to health and social care providers seeking to effectively implement AT and novel approaches to domiciliary care. Furthermore they may seek external funding to conduct applied research in these areas.
It is essential they have strong communication and networking skills, a commitment to inter-organisation collaborations and an enterprising outlook. Regional, national and international travel may be required.
