Salary: Lecturer (Grade 7) – £33,806 to £42,800 per annum, Assistant Professor (Grade 8) – £40,329 to £57,430 per annum.

The School of Life Sciences is continuing to expand and optimise its impressive portfolio of courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. We are looking for an Assistant Professor to join our dedicated team to deliver our undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes with expertise in haematology. The successful candidate will be passionate about their subject and be able to contribute to a high quality learning and teaching experience.

Within their subject area the appointee will be required to: design and curate learning materials; develop and conduct active online and onsite workshops; run practical sessions and tutorials; supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students research projects; contribute to departmental and course administration and curriculum development. Academic leadership, such as module leadership will be expected from a Lecturer. Course leadership may be expected from an Associate Professor. Line management may also be a responsibility and a strong external profile will be expected. The position (grade) offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience and expertise.
