This role is based in the nursing team and offers the opportunity to work collaboratively within BU and with external partners in developing an excellent student experience.

As Lecturer in Children and Young Peoples (CYP) Nursing you will be expected to contribute to the BU 2025 fusion agenda of Research, Education and Professional practice. You will be expected to demonstrate current knowledge in CYP Nursing and actively contribute to the teaching of the Pre-registration programme. You will be committed to a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement. You must be registered on the Nursing and Midwifery Council Register (CYP Nursing) and have or be willing to undertake a relevant teaching qualification.

This academic position is designed to enable such a practitioner to be supported in developing research skills through doctoral training and applicants would be committed to obtaining a relevant Doctorate within an agreed timescale. Applicants should have a good degree in nursing or a related discipline and are expected to be familiar with current developments in research and scholarship, but research experience is not a requirement.

Post 1 – Full time established basis.
Post 2 – Part time (0.5FTE per week) & established basis.
